Why had so much useful everyday knowledge become so difficult to find?
We’re Emma and Daniel.
We didn’t grow up on a farm, and we certainly didn’t know how to preserve a harvest, raise chickens, make cheese or grow half the things we were planting.
We were simply two people who wanted to become a little more capable at home.
It really began with a small backyard garden. One summer, we ended up with more tomatoes, cucumbers and herbs than we knew what to do with.
So we started learning.
One answer was buried in an old book. Another was hidden in a forty-minute video. Another lived on a forgotten blog. We kept thinking: why should learning useful skills be this complicated?
Preserving led us to fermentation. Fermentation led us to herbs. Then came homemade dairy, mushrooms, beekeeping, backyard animals and all those practical skills that once seemed to pass naturally from one generation to the next.
Before long, our shelves were filling with books, our notebooks were filling with ideas, and the purpose behind The Reset Library became obvious.
To bring useful knowledge back into one place — through practical digital guides made to be understood, used and returned to again and again.
We’re not trying to go back in time.
We simply believe some things are worth bringing forward.
